Algoa Bay Bus Company drivers on strike

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) wishes to inform residents that the Algoa Bus Company drivers have embarked on a strike, following unsuccessful negotiations between the company and labour representatives earlier today.

The development has resulted in the suspension of bus services, which is expected to affect thousands of commuters who rely on the service for daily transport to work, school, and other essential activities across the Metro.

Algoa Bus Company has issued a brief statement urging commuters to make alternative transport arrangements while engagements continue to try and resolve the matter.

At this stage, it remains unclear how long the strike will continue, and residents are advised to plan accordingly to avoid disruptions to their daily travel.
