Women treated like royalty at St Francis Links

St Francis mothers and children having a superb time at St Francis Links on Women's Day.

While many celebrated Women’s Day on Tuesday this week at home with their families, others participated in sports’ activities and some were literally treated like royalty. In lovely weather many mothers of toddlers and babies left their husbands at home and decided a High Tea at St Francis Links was the way to spend a morning.

This lovely grand tea reminding most of their grandmothers, is sadly a past time that is slowly disappearing from our lives, mostly substituted by barbecues, long lunches and dinner parties. St Francis Links put on a magnificent spread of divine cakes muffins, scones, sandwiches and savouries… there were even iced cup cakes for the kids.

The mothers’ club sat at a long table with mommies holding their small fry on their laps or pushing babies in prams while talking up a storm for several hours.  At 12 pm everyone was still having a great time, especially the toddlers who were playing under supervision on the jumping castle on the lawn.

Mothers said how great it was to be pampered by the Links staff and not have to make tea or coffee themselves that day… and they loved being spoilt and feeling special.
