A two-year-old toddler drowned in the St Francis Bay canals esterday afternoon , 30 October 2013.
According to the SAP PR Communications department, the boy, who was the son of a domestic worker, was allegedly playing outside of a house in Praslin Rach while his mother was busy cleaning the house.
A contract worker who was busy on a roof of a neighbouring house saw the child in the water but when he was taken out, he was already dead.
St Francis Bay police opened an inquest docket and no foul play is suspected.
