- Edited by Bev Mortimer – St Francis Bay detectives announced this morning that they are seeking the community’s assistance into the investigation of the murder of Vanessa van Rensburg around 1:45 am in Oyster Bay on 20 April .
A murder case was opened after St Francis Bay SAPS responded to a complaint at an Oyster Bay house on the Eastern Cape coastline of South Africa, near St Francis Bay. Upon arrival at the scene, the police found 36 year-old Vanessa Van Rensburg lying on the floor, in the sitting room area of the holiday house of her 58 year old boyfriend.
Vanessa’s body had bruises on her body and she was declared dead by EMS.
It is alleged that Vanessa and her boyfriend visited friends for a braai that same night. It is further alleged that Vanessa left alone to go back home and when her boyfriend arrived later at home, he found her lifeless body on the living room floor in his house.
The investigation by the SAPS into this murder case is still ongoing the SAPS said yesterday.
