Permission needed for any holiday events over season

Holiday entertainment on Council land

Proposals for holiday entertainment on Kouga Council-owned land during December and January are invited from event organisers.

Individuals and organisations, including churches, who wish to use Council land to present or hold recreational activities (from sport to outdoor church services, to music events for the public) during the summer holiday season (1 December 2011 to 31 January 2012) have until noon on Friday, 2 September 2011, to submit their proposals.

Acting Municipal Manager, Jabu Ngcayisa, says proposals should include the location and size of the land required. It should also specify whether a municipal hall will be required.

He stresses that proposals are strictly for holiday activities and that proposals for the selling of fast food will not be considered.

Enquiries may be directed to Tertius Snyders at 042 200 2159 during office hours.

Written proposals must be deposited in the municipal tender box at the municipal offices at Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay, by noon on Friday, 2 September 2011.

The Council reserves the right to grant or refuse any application.
