Philander Coenraad (aka Didi), 43 years-old, from Sea Vista died in an accident on the Oyster Bay Road yesterday afternoon, 14 October.
His companion Lugile, 50 years-old was seriously injured and both men were rushed to Isivivana Provincial Hospital in Humansdorp where Coenraad died. Makeleni was treated at the Hospital and has been discharged,
It has been alleged that the driver lost control and the tractor over turned. It is also reported that Coenraad jumped one side off and Makeleni jumped off the other side of the tractor. The trailer behind the tractor overturned on Philander’s side and apparently crushed him.
Coenraad was an employee of the Kouga Municipality.
The St Francis Bay police are currently investigating a case of culpable homicide.
