News Flash!! Sand River temporary bridge has finally been tarred

After planning to tar the temporary bridge over the Sand River since Monday but having had to postpone this operation several times owing to rain, today the weather played ball and the bridge was tarred by Provincial contractors.

The bridge was closed from 8 am and tarring was finished before the advised 5 pm time frame. A busy stream of motorists were crossing in both directions this evening.
