Cars parked between the Sand River bridge and St Francis Marine on the Humansdorp side, are being towed away as they are in the way of construction vehicles needing to get to the bridge to fix it and to park nearby to offload.
This is according to an announcment from Kouga Municipality this morning. The road has now been closed at the St Francis Marine foot access point. And it is only cars parked from there to the bridge that will be towed if not moved.
Motorists who park on the other side of St Francis Marine entrance gates, are also asked to park their vehicles completely off the road, allowing access for construction and emergency vehicles. Traffic officers are on duty at the St Francis Marine foot access point.
Vehicles making deliveries or the elderly who cannot walk so far can arrange with the traffic officers to be dropped off closer.
