The St Francis Bay Residents Association has just announced by email that the day of the closure of the Sand River Bridge has changed. The Bridge will now be closed on Wednesday, 5 December instead!
This morning it was now announced that the Bridge would be closed on Monday 3 December.
Says Nigel Aitken of the Association, who put out the email a few minutes ago: “I have just been advised the bridge will now be closed on Wednesday (between 8 am and 5 pm.) and not Monday as earlier advised due to the possibility of rain over the weekend.
“Unfortunately we are in the hands of Province in this regard and we have no say in this matter – I do apologise for the inconvenience.
“Please spread the word to all your friends and colleagues, suppliers and staff etc.”
