Join the best Club in St Francis – join St Francis Tourism!
This is the new motto for St Francis Tourism, its new drive and plan of action to promote the St Francis area, swell the number of visitors here and the number of Tourism members.
St Francis Tourism will undoubtedly benefit from increased membership. And what benefits Tourism will benefit St Francis. And what benefits St Francis will benefit you!
St Francis Tourism will be able to do what it does best – bring more tourists to the area.
Every business, big or small has the potential to benefit from visitors to St Francis, as head of the local Tourism office, Warren Manser, says. “A tourist drives into town, fills up his car with petrol, finds a place to rest his weary head, goes out to eat, buys a bottle of wine, has his hair cut, buys meat for a barbecue or food for dinner, buys an outfit, goes to the pharmacy and the Tourism office is there to assist him.
Under the helm of the Tourism Committee, the winning team of Warren and Princess Ntshota, the local brightly decorated Tourism office at Tennant Centre is an asset to all, offering a warm welcome to the town’s guests. Here they are aided in finding accommodation, a place to eat, shop and relax, or how to get from A-B, or to find the best route to take to Cape Town, Gauteng, Natal or anywhere in South Africa.
The Tourism office also directs visitors to estate agents, motor repair shops, pharmacies, insurance agents, clothing shops, doctors and vets among others. And sports enthusiasts are able to find where and how they can participate in their favourite past time. So putting ‘bums-in-beds’ of local guest houses is just an additional service, not Tourism’s primary function!
Now you know some of the many things Tourism does for you to make idyllic St Francis an even better place to live, you have, many reasons why you should join this professionally run organisation that will provide benefits, not least recommend your services when visitors need them.
There are several ways to become part of the winning team and the top club in the area:
* Join Tourism as a member. For info on annual rates telephone Princess or Warren on 042 294 0076 during business hours. As a member you will receive monthly newsletters keeping you up to date with what’s happening in the area, among other benefits.
* Tourism is starting an exciting monthly draw. If you support this cause you stand the chance of winning one of three monthly prizes. Support can be from as little as R10 a month or R120 annually.
Not least 10% of the monthly takings for the draw will go to a local charity. Businesses selling the most tickets will get a mention in local media on a monthly basis – another great way to promote your business!
* Also why not market your product further by offering prizes to Tourism.
* Support any tourism initiative. Not only is this a way to social network, but it’s an opportunity to embrace the togetherness that makes St Francis Bay special.
