Motorists beware of nasty potholes on R330

By Bev Mortimer

St Francis motorists and visitors here are asked to take extreme care when driving between Humansdorp and St Francis Bay.

Firstly the precarious bridge over the Sand River becomes even more unstable in times of heavy rains. It is is currently infested with potholes and motorists trying to avoid them are having difficulty keeping on the bridge since there are no barriers.

Then just over the outflow pipes of the bridge, when travelling towards Humansdorp, there is a huge deep pothole in the left lane as one leaves the bridge area.

Then just after the Rivertide turnoff there is another huge hole in the left lane.

Then going up the hill from the notorius dip there are some big potholes.

And lastly there is another bad crevice near the dairy farm.

There are others but these mentioned are the worst and some motorists have damaged their vehicles.
