A 27 year-old male surfer and tour guide was admitted to an East London hospital after being bitten by a shark on his right lower leg and left upper arm.
Dawid Struwig, 27, who had been surfing at Cintsa, was taken out of the water on his surfboard by fellow surfers who also raised the alarm. Although suffering from lacerations he was reported to be in a stable condition.
The NSRI asks bathers and surfers in the area to be exercise caution.
