A special Council meeting to discuss the controversial Gobodo report decided to make the full report available to all councillors.
The attachment to the agenda was a summary of the report and not the full report from the MEC, Milibo Qhoboshiyane
The SFB Ratepayers Association has been requesting a copy of this report for some time.
A further meeting will take place in two weeks to discuss the road forward with this report. The KPMG Report was not discussed as it was not on the agenda.
Council’s decision about the report was basically as follows:
a) That the summary of the Gobodo report, as presented by the MEC, be accepted as a working document
b) That a working committee be appointed to work through the report and table recommendations to Council. The working committee consists of the Speaker (chair), Mayor, Mayoral Committee, MM and directors.
c) That the full report be made available to all councillors within seven days.
d) That the recommendations of the working committee be table to Council before they are submitted to the MEC.
