Friends of the Elizabeth Donkin Hospital have arranged at a talk by Dr Stoffel Grobler to help with a number of challenges the hopsital is facing at the Men’s Breakfast from 8-10 am.
Ladies Tea
Friends of the Elizabeth Donkin Hospital have arranged at a talk by Dr Stoffel Grobler to help with a number of challenges the hopsital is facing at the Ladies Tea from 10.30 am – 12 pm at the SFB Golf Course.
Following the publicity of bad conditions at the hospital a movement to revive the ‘Friends of the Donkin’ is underway. The purpose of the Friends:
1. Raising public awareness of the challenges faced by the patients and staff at Elizabeth Donkin Psychiatric Hospital
2. Raising public awareness in general of the challenges and stigma faced by the mentally ill and public psychiatric institutions
3. Acting as advocates for the mentally ill
4. De-stigmatisingcampaigns
5. Fundraisingactivities
6. Soliciting donations
