While people in shacks were taking out their belongings to save them from this morning’s fire in St Francis Bay, South Africa, thieving onlookers stole their blankets and shoes, among other things!!

The fire broke out in the Sea Vista suburb of St Francis Bay in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, early this morning, sometime after 5 am.
The Fire Department was on the scene and extinguished the blaze after a couple of hours.
The fire victims recounted that they were frantically trying to save other things and found their other rescued items, including their blankets and shoes, had been stolen by thieving onlookers!Victims are distraught and described these acts as malicious!
Six families were affected by the fire, three shacks were burnt and two shacks destroyed.
Anyone willing to assist families with clothing and other necessary items for beds and cooking, including food parcels, and especially blankets and shoes, is welcome to leave them with Maud at Calibre Security.
