Eight children rushed to hospital after eating chips

After eight Patensie school children, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, shared a packet of chips they all fell sick and had to be rushed to hospital.

The SAPS PR release says Patensie SAPS  it is investigating an enquiry that was opened after police members attended to a complaint at Baviaans Combined Primary School, Andrieskraal, Patensie yesterday  at 8 am.

It is alleged that one of the eight bought chips from one of the school bus drivers as they normally do. It is further alleged that shortly after they had eaten the chips the eight kids fell ill and were vomiting and had stomach cramps.

All eight children, between 11-15 years old were taken to Humansdorp Hospital and for medical treatment.

The SAPS says the investigation continues.
