In spite of the hot weather the Municipal pothole team, supervised by Nigel Aitken of the St Francis Bay Residents Association, made excellent progress this week.
Aitken reports that the repair work to Lyme Road South is nearly complete. “Today, the team removed sand at the end of Peter Crescent which had blown on to the road and which was dangerous. They also laid thatching grass around the new path to try and hold back the sand.”
He says many people have asked why the bush is being cleared in Tarragona Road toward the corner of St Francis Drive. This is the site where the new Sea Vista Primary School is going to be built. The contract has been awarded and building is due to commence as soon as the site is cleared
