Cops search for  Humansdorp robbery suspect

Edited by Bev Mortimer- The SAPS are searching for a robbery suspect following the robbery of a Humansdorp retail store in September 2019.

The local communities in Eastern Cape are asked for assistance in tracing the suspect.

SAPS Colonel, Priscilla Naidu, says it is alleged that on the above date six men entered a Humansdorp shop and held the staff and customers at gunpoint. The suspects were arrested soon after the incident while they were travelling to Gqeberha/PE.

The suspects appeared in court and four of them were denied bail and two were granted bail. Tulani Mgwatyu, aged 26, of Tambo Village, Nomzamo Street in Kwazakele in PE,  was granted bail but he never appeared in court.

The SAPS asks anyone who may know the whereabouts of Mgwatyu contact SAPS Humansdorp, D/W/O Peter Geswint on 081 075 8734 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
