Kouga residents will have the opportunity to share their views on the proposed name change of the Cacadu District Municipality this week.
A public meeting about the proposed name change will be held on 30 October at 6 pm at the Humansdorp Country Club.
The meeting is one of nine being held across the Cacadu district to allow residents to share their views about the proposal that the district’s name be changed from ‘Cacadu’ to ‘Sarah Bartmann’.
The Cacadu district consists of nine local municipalities, including Kouga, and public meetings are being held in all nine.
