While competition was keen amongt the better bowlers, there were teams that came for the fun and entertainment – and there was plenty of that – much of it provided by Toby Haring, the Club Captain.

The event, co-sponsored by Personal Trust International and Knysna Lifestyle Estate, saw the clubhouse alive with excitement of 24 bowing teams from Cape Town, Sedgefield, Oudtshoorn, Jansenville, Albany and three Kouga towns.

Mark Gibbs, Managing Director of Personal Trust and Director Somerset West, said: “The whole package was fantastic: the format of play, top teams competing in serious competition, the fun, the camaraderie, the great vibe, the music, dancing and people staying till late.”

Johan van der Westhuizen who heads up the PT Knysna office praised the amazing spirit that prevailed so people did not want to go home, the good sportsmanship, the greens, the food , the cruise on the canals, the committed background crew and the way everyone piled in to make it happen.

Johan Rust, President of the Club, thanked the sponsors and the nbowlers from near far for their participation.
