A St Francis Bay resident had a grisly find this morning when he came across the body of an elderly lady.
The lady was in her late 70s and was a resident of the town. Her body washed ashore on a Kromme River bank.
The name of the woman has been withheld until the next of kin have been informed.
Police are currently still busy with the inquest into her death according to the SAP media liaison. Cause of death is unknown at this stage. Foul play is not suspected
SAP Media liaison said the deceased’s name will only released if or once permission to do so has been obtained. No further details were released this afternoon at 3.30 pm by the SAP Media liaison.
