A bakkie carrying six people overturned, and caught alight near St Francis Bay on the R330 road to Humansdorp.
There were no fatalities and REMS Medical and ambulance services attended to five people suffering from moderate to minor injuries.
At 6 pm REMS Medical received a call regarding a motor vehicle accident on the R330 just outside St Francis Bay. REMS Medical personnel arrived on the scene together with St Francis Bay Fire services, Humansdorp Fire and Rescue and Metro EMS.
The five patients were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is unknown and is being investigated by the local SAPS.
