Collectively the Business Sector is the pulse of the village, so I’m sure I speak for all of the BF in identifying with those that have had to endure the devastation of losing their homes in the fire.
On behalf of our membership, I know there are many willing and able to help (as per some emails that have already gone out from our members). Any request for help, no matter how small or how big, can be posted to the entire membership by way of ‘Reply All’.
Our offer includes help with accommodation, clothing, looking after children, animals etc.
Alternatively business can contact St Francis Chronicle (or other media) so your requests can be relayed to the community.

It may be the time for SFB to consider banning construction of thatch roofs. The concentration of thatch in a small area is an ever increasing fire disaster
