The number of houses razed or damaged by last night’s fire has been put at 76.
Mop-up operations are underway the Kouga municpality said this morning in a statement.
The cause of the fire unknown at this stage but the SAP forensic unit will be investigating.
The MEC Local Government is expected to arrive in SFB just after 11. There will be a meeting in Humansdorp at 11 for a briefing. Then the MEC will proceed to SFB. Kouga and Cacadu’s mayors will also both be there.
