Jordy wins opening heat at Hurley Pro

Jordy Smith of Durban, South Africa (pictured) won his opening heat at the Hurley Pro Trestles, defeating fellow South African Travis Logie (ZAF) and Heitor Alves (BRA) to advance into round three.
Smith posted an excellent 8.43 and 7.87 scores (out of ten) advancing directly
The Hurley Pro Trestles is Stop No. 6 of 11 on the ASP World Championship Tour and includes the World’s Top 32 surfers plus two wildcards. Kelly Slater (USA) is the defending champion.Image Credit: © ASP/ Rowland
