Contrary to other news reports, the Kouga municipal manager has not been fired, St Francis Chronicle has reliably learned.
The recently-elected Kouga Council is considering terminating his contract early (his contract expires February 2012). A final decision will not be made until the correct process has been been tabled to Council.
At any rate, in terms of South Africa’s constitution and stringent Labour Laws certain procedures have to be followed first.
