St Francis College once again held a highly successful auction.
Auction items fetched R64 700, ticket sales came to 2 450, the barrow of booze raised 2 680 , making a total of R70 830. College staff and pupils are ecstatic.
The popular MC and auctioneer was Jo Brown who ran the event with show biz acumen and great panache.

Items on offer for auction included a Lance Armstrong yellow jersey, signed and framed; a signed Stormers’ jersey (that went for R900); a rugby ball signed by the 2011 Wallaby team and a Limited Edition Tokara Directors Reserve Red in Magnum, plus there was surfboard that fetched R5000!
According to several attendees there was great camaraderie and people were bidding with gay abandon and partying up a storm. “Great fun and a great evening !” was the general verdict.
There was superb organisation by Mickey and Sam Lindsey While Mickey pulled in some fantastic items to auction, Sam put it all together.
The event was held at St Francis Bay Golf Club and there was finger supper.
