By Bev Mortimer – A dozen shacks were burnt to the ground in Sea Vista suburb of St Francis Bay at around lunchtime today, 9 September, and today and 15 families are now destitute.

They have lost everything and are in need of building supplies and items survive and live on, says Ward clr, Nozuko Majola Ntshota . Appeals have been made by the St Francis communities and to the public at large to help these families.
The fire and disaster group, DVG in St Francis Bay, has dry goods but says it is short of supplies to help the families and desperately need men’s clothing and other family clothing, all sizes, plus blankets and food.
It is not known how the fire started but the fire department arrived and put the fire out.

Donations of fresh vegetables, meat, tinned food, is welcomed appreciated. The DVG have dry goods. Items and donations can be dropped at the St Francis Bay fire station in St Francis Drive.
