Excitement and anticipation is high among South Africa’s young surfers for the National Junior selection trials at Seals in Cape St Francis this weekend , 26-27 January 2013.
Crystal Hulett
St Francis Bay’s Crystal Hulett is also competing. Crystal won the U15 Girls at the Hurley SA Junior Championships at the Point at Jeffreys Bay last year by snatching victory from the much favoured-to-win, Ronelle Botha. She also received a Bloodscan Achievement award last year and had some excellent placings in other events.
Other Kouga locals that will be in the spotlight are Dylan Lightfoot and Stephano Jantjies from Jeffreys Bay (boys u/18 division), Tahra Uren (girl’s u/18), Tim Baard (boy’s u/16) and Zane Manuel (boy’s u-16).
The trials will get under way at 8 am sharp on Saturday, 26 January.
